God will judge

August 12, 2013 in Featured Question of the Week, Question of the Week, Spotlight Answers, Who am I to judge? by Tom Lindberg

Here’s a question for you. If someone stole your car, would you be judging them if you called that person a thief?  Of course not. Stealing a car breaks our laws and there are clear guidelines that define what a thief is. Pope Francis said about same-sex relationships, “Who am I to judge?”

As a Bible-believing and people-loving pastor, it’s not judging when one says that any action or lifestyle which the Bible says breaks the laws of God–whether it’s sex before marriage, sex outside of marriage, same-gender sex, cursing, or drunkenness–is wrong.

That’s not judging. That’s simply telling the truth. Now, I would be so wrong if I stopped right here and didn’t add that EVERY act of disobedience against God can be forgiven.
