Balmoral Presbyterian offers daytime and nighttime Lenten programs

Balmoral Presbyterian Church will offer both a daytime and a nighttime Lenten speaker series.
Possibilities in Prayer: A Lenten Pathway will be held from noon-1 p.m. each Tuesday from Feb. 19 to March 12. Everyone is encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch and drinks will be provided.
A Series of Stories: A Lenten Journey during Lent will be held every Wednesday evening from March 6 through March 27. Dinner catered by Just for Lunch will be served from 5:30 pm to 6:20 pm for $10.00 per person. Reservations must be made in advance for the dinner. The Speakers series will be at 6:30 pm.
Both daytime and nightimes speakers series are free.
Here’s the schedule for the daytime series:
Feb. 19: Praying on a Journey with Lucy Cummings, associate executive Presbyter of The Presbytery of the Mid-South.
Feb. 26: Praying for the People with Rev. Mike Krech, pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church.
March 5: Praying with our Breath with Rev. Scottie Brafford, director of the Center for Spiritual Formation.
March 12: Praying in Color with Glenda Ellis, ruling elder, The Presbyterian Church, USA.
Here’s the schedule for the nighttime series:
March 6: A Story of Service with Andy Combs, Mexico Cistern Ministry, Yucatan Mission.
March 13: We Are a Story People with Rev. Elaine Blanchard, award-winning storyteller, actor and author.
March 20: A Story of the City: A Story of Enough with Rev. Peggie, Russell, a member of Mayor Wharton’s Innovation Team.
March 27: Stories of Faith and Life with Playback Memphis Improv Theater Troupe.
