Dr. Joseph Rosas III, former pastor of Union Avenue Baptist Church in Memphis, has been called to serve as senior pastor of University Baptist Church in Baltimore, Md.

Rosas, two-time president of the Memphis Ministers Association, left Memphis in 2003 to become pastor of Crievewood Baptist Church in Nashville. He served as Union Avenue Baptist’s pastor for 13 years.

He also has taught classes at Anderson University, Belmont University, Memphis Theological Seminary, Middle Tennessee State University, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Union University, his alma mater.
