Melissa Harris-Perry, MSNBC host and Tulane University professor, will deliver the Dr. Barbara A. Holmes Lecture in African-American Studies at 7 a.m. Monday at Christ Missionary Baptist Church, 480 S. Parkway East.

The event, co-sponsored by Memphis Theological Seminary and several other churches, is free and open to the public.
