God provides us with all we need

What should we – individually and collectively – be doing differently about hunger issues in our community?
One of the central promises of the Bible is that our gracious Father provides everything we need, as He did with the manna in the wilderness, the oil and meal for the widow woman at Zarephath, the coin from the mouth of the fish, the loaves and fishes for the thousands. Jesus once explained: “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them.” Our gratitude for this promise helps us to provide not only for ourselves but also for others, often in ways as surprising as those in the Bible stories.
