Condon leaving St. Peter Catholic Church

Dr. Tom Condon will be leaving his post as pastor of St. Peter Catholic Church next month and taking a new assignment in New Orleans.

Condon, was who the downtown church’s associate pastor from 2000-20003, and senior pastor since 2006, has been appointed socius” — or assistant provincial — of the Dominican Province in New Orleans.

He will be replaced by Rev. John Boll, who is currently serving at Holy Ghost Parish in Hammond, La.

Condon, a graduate of Christian Brothers High and a Faith in Memphis panelist, played a key role in the founding of the St. Martin de Porres Shrine at St. Peter. He was director of the shrine 2000-2003. His last weekend at St. Peter will be Oct. 6-7.
