The Catholic Church teaches that homosexual persons “must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church #2358) The Catholic Diocese has a pastoral outreach to homosexual persons, in which I have participated.
However, the Church does not sanction same sex marriage. God created man and woman to come together in marriage for their mutual good and to bring children into the world.
