Wright, Farrakhan to speak in Memphis

Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan, two of America’s most well-known and controversial religious leaders, are speaking in Memphis this month.
Wright, who gained notoriety as Barack Obama’s former pastor at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, is scheduled to speak at an April 18 Leadership Conference at House of Prayer Ministries, 2786 Walnut Road. The Nation of Islam’s Minister Louis Farrakhan is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at an April 14 conference at LeMoyne-Owen College.
Farrakhan will speak at the Diversity Leadership Conference, which begins at 12:30 p.m. at the Student Center, 807 Walker. The conference is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and registration is required by April 6. Register at loc.edu or call 901-435-1740.
