What do you think of the mayors’ Faith-based Partnership to End Homelessness? Will your congregation participate? Will you encourage your congregation to do so? Is this a good approach? The best approach?

St. Peter gives every year to assist the homeless through donations to such organizations as Catholic Charities, the Hospitality Hub, MIFA, and the Union Mission. Certainly every faith based organization should make contributions to assist the poor and homeless. At this time, I have not studied the Mayor’s suggestion sufficiently to comment on this particular proposal.
