Adrian Rogers’ work translated into Chinese
February 18, 2011 in Faith Matters by David Waters
The late Adrian Rogers is going to China.
“Send Adrian Rogers to China” is the theme of a conference Thursday at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Cordova.
Joyce Rogers, widow of the late pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church, will share plans to translate Rogers’ video-based pastor training curriculum, “What Every Pastor Ought To Know,” into Mandarin Chinese. “Adrian would be amazed to find that we are sending him to China,” Mrs. Rogers said in a statement.
The Chinese Summit is open to the public and hosted by the Adrian Rogers Pastor Training Institute. The keynote speaker will be J. Hudson Taylor IV, a fourth generation missionary to China. His great-great-grandfather was known as the first missionary to China. Taylor IV is scheduled to speak at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Pastor Adrian had a vision of what a church should be, and a very, VERY clear vision of what a pastor — the leader of the flock — should be. He executed those visions with a passion, a dedication to Christ, and a sense of personal responsibility to his congregation. What better way to share his vision and wisdom? I hope the Chinese pastors-to-be will benefit from his wisdom, as we did when he was among us. A wonderful, Godly man’s work lives on after him. It’s a great legacy, and a great gift.
